Tutoring & Academic Support
With a background in elementary education, mathematics education and American Sign Language, Zoe has studied a wide array of content - but also, with her background in special education, she has studied how to best get that content to reluctant, struggling or gifted learners. Now she and her team of carefully selected instructors work diligently to craft individualized educational experiences with that knowledge.
Parent Consultations & Behavioral Support
After 5 years as a teacher in a behavioral disabilities classroom, Zoe has seen some of the most challenging and aggressive behaviors and utilized countless interventions in the process. Now, she and her team work with parents and schools to implement interventions that really work to increase safety, quality of life and academic opportunities for all students.
Professional Development
The teacher exodus is bad - and in many places - continuing to get worse. After 5 years as a public school teacher, Zoe joined the 30% of teachers that quit their profession within the first 5 years of their career. The burnout rates are immense - but as someone who has been on both sides, Zoe and her team seek to provide real, meaningful and impactful professional development for schools, parents and organizations that leave people feeling empowered and ready to make changes.
Our Approach
At Hope Consulting and Tutoring, we are dedicated to empowering students and supporting their educational journey. We believe that every student can be successful - when given the right supports. Whether your child needs slower paced instruction through tutoring, behavioral supports through consultations or increased academic rigor through specialized groups and advanced tutoring, we are here to fill in the gaps to be sure they succeed.

Our academic approach is based on constantly reading the newest research and keeping up with relevant professional development to ensure we are always using research-backed and highly effective interventions, methodologies and materials. We utilize multi-sensory instruction, hands on learning and scaffolded instruction whenever possible. Reading instruction and remediation is based on the Science of Reading and all tutoring is data-driven.

Behaviorally, we approach challenges from a behavioral science, but trauma-informed background. We work with families and schools to help find root causes of behavior, behavioral substitutions, and interventions that will decrease behavior - while being mindful of the many layers that make our students who they are.
